Package holidays with Jet2 offer the perfect solution to enjoy a stress-free and unforgettable holiday. In this article, I talk about our recent experience travelling with Jet2holidays to the gorgeous Commodore Elite Suite & Spa Hotel in Antalya, Turkey.
Sometimes, all you need is a relaxing and stress-free holiday. OK, all the time, but that’s beside the point. Sometimes we just need somebody to do all the leg work for us. No planning, no worries, just a click of the button, and we are off somewhere beautiful.
Well, that’s the beauty of Jet2 package holidays. Once you’ve chosen your dream destination or hotel, everything else is done for you. Flights, luggage, and transfers are all included in the deal. Leaving you with nothing left to worry about other than which cocktail to have first.
Our recent package holiday to Turkey with Jet2holidays was enough to convince us to take more of these kinds of holidays. And in this guide, we will give you a complete rundown of our experience, from the flight to the hotel and everything in between.
So let’s get to it. Here’s a complete and honest review of our recent all-inclusive holiday with Jet2 to Antalya, Turkey.

The Flight
OK, let’s kick off with our experience at the airport, starting with the check-in process and ending with the flight itself.
Our flights to Antalya with Jet2 were from Stansted Airport, so we weren’t too surprised when we arrived to huge queues at the check-in desk. It didn’t help that we’d booked our trip at the start of the Easter Holidays, which was a bit of a rookie error on our behalf.
We had already checked in online; however, it was almost 45 minutes later when we could finally drop off our bags. The ground Jet2 staff were very courteous throughout the process, with each of them wishing us a lovely holiday which we agreed was a nice touch.
Since you have to pay to reserve your seats on the plane, they told us at check-in that we could not sit together. It wasn’t a huge deal, and they were able to move things around eventually, but it might cause a problem with bigger families.
Next came the mammoth queues to get through security, which is no fault of Jet2 holidays. However, I suggest arriving 3 hours in advance if you want to enjoy a relaxing time at the airport.
After rushing through the airport to board our flight, it was pretty much smooth sailing. Jet2 aircrafts are precisely what you would expect from a budget airline but comfortable enough for the 4-hour flight to Antalya.
Drinks and snacks are served on board and can be pre-ordered online before you fly. Pre-ordering is the best way to guarantee your selection of choice and also means you’ll get your meal before everybody else.
The crew again were courteous and professional and greeted you with a smile. The flight was pleasant, helped by a glass of prosecco or 2, and the pilot kept us well-informed of our progress. No complaints at all about the flight.
The Transfer
When we arrived at Antalya airport, we grabbed our bags and made our way to the transfer desk. It was an easy and straightforward process since all the instructions and information were sent to us in our confirmation email.
The lovely staff at the transfer desk pointed us toward our bus, and we joined a few other groups before departing for the hotel. The journey was about an hour in total, including drop-offs at other hotels.
The bus was air-conditioned and comfortable. There was a Jet2 representative on board talking about available excursions and ensuring that everybody got off at their correct hotel.
If you’d prefer, they can arrange private transfers instead, but there’s an additional fee. This might be a good option during busier times of the year; however, it wasn’t necessary for us.
The Hotel
Now for the best and most important part: the hotel!
As mentioned earlier in the article, our Jet2 holiday was to the Commodore Elite Suites & Spa in Antalya, Turkey. It’s an all-inclusive hotel, so all drinks, food, and snacks are included.
The Room
Firstly, we stayed in an Elite Room with direct pool access. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, segregated nicely with a walk-in closet, an en-suite bathroom, and a small living area.
The pool accessible from the balcony is a private pool, shared only with other guests staying on the same floor. It was freezing, as you would expect for April, but we had no problems diving in to cool down whilst sunbathing on the balcony.
Our balcony had two loungers, an umbrella, and a seating area. The view over the sea and resort was beautiful, so we’d often spend the day there rather than around the main pool area.
We would return to our room each day to a fully-stocked mini-bar (beers, soft drinks, and snacks) and a pretty flower arrangement on our bed. You could order room service for an additional fee or do what we did and bring drinks from the bar back to the room.
My only complaint about the room was that it was extremely hot and stuffy. We were told the hotel only turns on the air-conditioning during the summer months, but it was 25 degrees, so certainly summer temperatures for us. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind.

The Food
I cannot complain at all about the food available at Commodore Elite Suites & Spa, only that you might go home a stone or two heavier than when you arrived!
For breakfast, it’s always a buffet, with every possible choice you can imagine for a morning meal. From breads, pastries, and cakes, to meats, eggs, and cheeses, as well as every cereal, fruit, and salad you can think of.
Lunch is also buffet style, but you can choose to eat either in the main restaurant or at the beach bar (weather dependent). I recommend the beach bar on a nice enough day. The choices are limited compared to the main restaurant, but it’s a lovely vibe overlooking the sea.
It’s back to the main restaurant in the evenings for another buffet-style meal. But again, the food is top-notch quality, and every day is a different-themed cuisine. During our stay, we had Chinese, Mexican, and American. All were delicious and had us going back for more.
If you stay for one week or more, you can dine in the on-site A La Carte restaurants for 1 or 2 nights of your stay. The choices are Italian or Seafood – we went for Italian, which did not disappoint.
Between meal times, snacks and small plates are available from the Bistro bar 24 hours a day. There’s also an on-site cafe that serves coffee, cakes, and ice creams, and at the bar you can order snacks with your drinks.
Just like the food, the drinks are superb! From cocktails and spirits to beers and wines, there is something for everyone and enough choice to try something different each and every day.
The Facilities
Another thing is for sure when staying at the Commodore Elite Suites & Spa Hotel, and that’s that you’ll struggle to get bored. There are facilities and entertainment to enjoy regardless of the weather, as well as beautiful walks and other activities set just outside.
